What is energy efficiency? It is a set of operations that can be applied to public and private buildings, industrial plants and commercial activities, aimed at containing consumption, trying to make optimal use of energy sources.
This concept should not be confused with energy savings (i.e. the simple measurement of a reduction in energy consumption). The process of energy efficiency represents a true optimisation, involving also production or performance aspects. The goal is therefore to be able to perform the same activities (and achieve the same result) by using less energy.
Our energy efficiency processes are based on two tools: energy diagnostics and the design of Energy Management Systems.
SIGE accompanies its customers in the process of improving energy efficiency by providing assistance in reducing consumption and optimising the use of energy sources.
The Energy Audit is the first step for any company, of any type and size, that wants to reduce energy costs while paying due attention to its environmental performance. The purpose of the Energy Audit is to gain an in-depth knowledge of the company's energy behaviour (and consumption). The results of the Diagnosis make it possible to identify the criticalities of the "Energy System" and adopt the most appropriate corrective actions to achieve the following objectives:
Improving energy efficiency
Having completed the Energy Diagnosis, SIGE supports companies in the process of designing, implementing and eventually certifying the Energy Management System, with a particular focus on
The rationalisation of energy flows
