Industrial hygiene is the technical-scientific discipline aimed at the control and verification of environmental risk factors of a chemical, physical and biological nature, resulting from industrial activity. Depending on the different production activities, substances potentially hazardous to workers' health are identified, the relative risk is assessed and managed through appropriate prevention measures. The aim is to protect all persons involved in production activities and to ensure that acceptable exposure conditions are maintained and comply with current regulations.

measuring and assessing relevant exposure levels

Main Activities

Chemical, physical and biological risk assessments - The situations covered by risk assessment are many, the main ones include:

presence of hazardous and potentially harmful substances (metals, chemicals, pesticides, drugs, etc.)
airborne particulate matter (dust, chemicals, fumes, etc.)
presence of asbestos
air quality (inside or outside the industrial plant)
evaluation of ventilation and air conditioning systems
